In Pronto! 2.0, CommuniGate utilizes the power of Adobe AIR, which enables web developers to extend rich Internet applications to the desktop, to deliver a more engaging digital experience – making it an ideal platform for rolling out next generation web 2.0 business and consumer Web applications on the desktop, including HD quality multimedia, interactive entertainment applications, and unique mashup capabilities.
With Pronto! 2.0, network operators can deliver high definition video and audio to subscribers' desktops. Extending Flash Media Interactive Server 3 with CommuniGate Pro's advanced server API's and plugins enables Pronto to help network providers protect content. As a result, operators can develop new models for media delivery and help to offer managed delivery HD Television and movie content over the Internet. Nearly any type of web service can be tapped and brought into the Pronto! experience – including movies, music and radio, rich web services, and access to databases and CRMs. With Pronto!'s modular framework, third-party developers can create customizable web 2.0 mash-ups and interactive video – such as IPTV with chat, shopping carts, and voting – that simply snap into Pronto!
