The incentive based program contains two ways for Shopko customers to save more, "my extra savings" loyalty program and "my Shopko rewards(TM) Visa(R)" co-branded credit card program. Both offer card holders special pricing and extra discounts for shopping at Shopko.
"The 'my Shopko rewards' initiative represents a giant step for our company and our customers," said Michael R. MacDonald, Shopko Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "These programs will enhance our ability to deliver outstanding value to our customers, help us serve their individual shopping needs and reward them for shopping with us."
"My extra savings" offers Shopko customers special savings on a combination of advertised items and in-store specials. It will provide a new level of value for cardholders exclusively.
"My Shopko rewards(TM) Visa(R)" is a co-branded credit card that can be used anywhere Visa is accepted and earns "rewards" every time it is used. Card holders will receive a $10 coupon for every 1,000 points earned. Points are earned by using the card to make purchases. (Three points for each dollar spent at Shopko, two points for family lifestyle purchases like dining, movies or entertainment and one point for each dollar spent on other outside purchases.)
The "my Shopko rewards(TM)" program will launch on August 5, 2007. Customers will be able to sign up and receive their "my extra savings" cards beginning that day. Let the savings begin!
