Attendees at AJAXWorld Conference & Expo 2007 East will be able to experience a live demo of Laszlo Webtop, a new framework from Laszlo Systems for delivering multiple applications inside an advanced framework and window management system. The demo will be given next week (March 20) by Robb Beal, Principal Systems Engineer at Laszlo.
Beal, who before joining Laszlo was best known for creating Spring, a web-inspired desktop for OS X, will in the demo be showcasing applications including an address book, a mail client, IM and IM AV, and photo viewing – all with breakthrough integration between them via drag and drop of Smart Objects.
Attendees will also learn about the Webtop architecture and the various ways that they can programmatically extend and integrate it. Finally, they will be shown how Webtop facilitates skinning through CSS and highly structured art assets.
Beal's session is one of eight consecutive OpenLaszlo sessions taking place in New York City on March 20 at AJAXWorld 2007 East in the world's first-ever dedicated Laszlo Track at a major technology conference.
