AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Journyx -- the first company to provide Web-based time-tracking and project accounting solutions that guide customers to per-person, per-project profitability -- today announces that a patent application has been examined by the United States Patent and Trademark Office and allowed for issuance as a U.S. patent. The patent is for inventing a method and apparatus for a Web-based punch clock/time clock.
Specifically, the invention (patent No. 7,069,498) is a system and method for building Graphical User Interface (GUI) screens for a time keeping and expense tracking server. The system includes computer instructions that define logic for building GUI screens according to user definitions, communication channel throughput capacity and terminal capacity.
This marks the seventh patent issued to Journyx for time tracking and project accounting technology.
"Journyx continues to be at the forefront of developing technology that leads customers to per-person, per-project profitability," said Curt Finch, CEO of Journyx. "This patent is just one more example of how we strive to keep our ideas and technology fresh, staying one step ahead of our competitors and delivering real business value to our customers."
Journyx executives Curt Finch and William Miller, and former Journyx executives William Leake and Chris Anderson invented this proprietary technology.
