New School Year Boosts Traffic at Education and Retail Sites

RESTON, Va., Oct. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- comScore, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR), a leader in measuring the digital world, today released its monthly ranking of U.S. web activity at the top online properties for September 2013 based on data from the comScore Media Metrix service. Schools were officially back in session in September, causing traffic to jump at Education and Retail sites. Major news developments around the impending U.S. government shutdown had Americans visiting the Political News category for the latest coverage.
