BELLEVUE, Wash., Aug. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Guppy Games, international mobile games developer and publisher is pleased to announce the upcoming release of Andy Roddick Tennis ( http://roddicktennis.com/ ). In cooperation with Andy Roddick, Guppy Games plans to launch Andy Roddick Tennis to major carriers throughout the US and internationally around The US Open 2006.
"Without the cooperation of Andy Roddick, we would have not have had this chance to create the most exciting tennis game on the market," said Guppy Games CEO, Alex Choe. "Andy Roddick is a powerful athlete and we are ecstatic to have him as a part of this venture."
Andy Roddick, tennis legend and humanitarian, has been one of the most popular and celebrated US athletes since he went pro in 2000. Becoming the youngest American to end the year at number one in the Indesit ATP Race in 2003, Andy was honored by the ATP as player of the year. In that same year, Andy Roddick was voted Sexiest Athlete by People Magazine, propelling his popularity even further. In 2004 Roddick went on to win the ESPY for Best Male Tennis Player, and was again nominated in 2005. However, Roddick is not just all about tennis. In 2005, Roddick won the Arthur Ashe Humanitarian award for all of his charitable contributions.
In addition to singles games and championship play, Andy Roddick Tennis will feature a power serve mini-game which can be played for chances to win Andy Roddick autographed goods.
In a recent interview Andy Roddick had this to say: "I hope this game gives fans a chance to experience my love for tennis. I am very excited to be working with Guppy Games to bring my sport to a larger audience."
