Viewster Adds CFO and Product Manager Lead, While Increasing Regional Footprint in U.S., U.K., Australia and Singapore

New Hires and Offices in New Regional Markets Will Help Site Monetize and Service Demand for Increased Advertising on VOD Platform

NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 04/24/13 -- Viewster, a rapidly-growing 'free on demand' service for movies and TV shows, has bolstered its management team today, appointing Helen Biggart as CFO and Tzvetan Horozov as Senior Vice President of Product Management. To serve the many advertisers requesting sponsorship for Viewster's commercially supported VOD service, Viewster will also be opening new offices in New York, London, Singapore and Adelaide, assisting international business development throughout these regional representative offices.

Already available in 120 countries worldwide, Viewster allows visitors to instantly access thousands of films and TV shows for free, without a subscription. Last year, the ad-funded Video on Demand (VOD) service served up more than one billion videos worldwide and saw its user base grow by 700%. The service is also now one of the Top 50 Online Video Properties in the United States, according to recent figures from comScore.

To support its continuing expansion and drive further growth in new and existing markets worldwide in 2013, Viewster concentrated on two new significant hires -- Biggart as CFO and Horozov as Senior Vice President of Product Management -- who could help lead the service's proliferation in these markets.

Kai Henniges, Viewster CEO, comments: "With more viewers choosing to watch films and TV shows on-demand, we're seeing a big shift in advertising spend away from linear TV. To capitalise on this trend and the rising demand for our service worldwide, we are turbo-charging our international expansion with new office openings and a raft of regional hires in our key markets. We are also thrilled to have both Helen and Tzvetan on board to drive and shape our business during this period of very rapid and exciting growth worldwide."

Biggart has more than 20 years of experience working with fast-growth technology companies. She previously worked at Touch Clarity, a behavioral targeting business, which was acquired by Omniture, now part of Adobe, in 2007. Before this, Helen worked at GE Capital Europe in the corporate acquisitions team and then moved to the private equity group.

Tzvetan brings his vast experience as a product manager and innovator to Viewster. With a career spanning more than 10 years in the telecommunication and retail industries, he has pioneered numerous consumer and enterprise solutions in the area of cross-device media streaming, advertising, location-based services, social networking, retail and consumer loyalty. Previously, Tzvetan worked for Motorola, USA, where he filed numerous patents and technical publications.

Earlier this month, Viewster announced more than 200 additions to its international online library, including the U.K.'s The Inbetweeners and Peep Show; SciFi's Flash Gordon; At Home with Julia, one of Australia's most popular scripted comedies; and American films featuring popular Hollywood stars such as Ellen Page, Naomi Watts, Ryan Gosling and Zach Galifianakis.
