MENLO PARK, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/17/13 -- With Cisco Systems' recent announcement that it is permanently ending the company's Umi Telepresence service on January 31, Tely Labs -- maker of the award-winning telyHD video calling system -- today announced it will reach out to Umi Telepresence customers with a special "Umi Rescue" program. Umi Telepresence users are eligible for a $50 rebate for each telyHD, or $100 for each telyHD Business Edition video conferencing solution purchased through February 28th. Tely Labs' telyHD is a Skype Certified device that delivers full HD two-party Skype video calling to conference rooms and living rooms on any standard HDTV. No computer is required.
The new telyHD Business Edition (BE) adds features including high-quality multi-party video calling, desktop sharing and document collaboration at an affordable price for small and medium businesses. Built on the flexible Android platform and utilizing Tely Labs' newly-developed Virtual MCU Mesh (VMM) technology, telyHD BE was designed with the advanced capabilities and video quality of an enterprise solution, while improving ease-of-use, simplifying set-up and minimizing operating costs.
Business users can connect up to six locations simultaneously in a multi-party video call with real-time, high quality video and audio. telyHD BE also features an innovative Windows app that enables wireless desktop sharing and document collaboration, making it easy to share a participant's desktop or any application such as Microsoft Office documents, Adobe PDFs and web pages while on a multi-party video call.
Pricing and Availability
The Tely Labs "Umi Rescue" Program will run through February 28th and may not be combined with any other promotions or offers. Cisco Umi Telepresence users may register for a $50 rebate when they purchase a tely HD for the home or a $100 rebate per location for the telyHD BE solution. The "Umi Rescue" program is only available for customers purchasing directly from the Tely Labs website (www.tely.com/umi-rescue).
telyHD BE is priced at $499 per location which includes the first year of service. After the first year the annual service fee is $199. telyHD is priced at $249 per location, with no ongoing service fees.
