dotMobi et Nginx, Inc. permettent aux serveurs Web d'identifier les appareils

Nginx, Inc., fournisseur du serveur Web NGINX hautement performant et spécialisée dans la technologie Web mobile dotMobi, a annoncé aujourd'hui la disponibilité immédiate d'un module de détection d'appareils pour NGINX à l'aide de la solution DeviceAtlas® de dotMobi.

Une détection d'appareils rapide, précise et fiable est essentielle pour servir les clients à travers un paysage en ligne de plus en plus fragmenté d'appareils de bureau, mobiles et de jeux. Désormais, un nouveau module DeviceAtlas pour NGINX permet à la tâche de détection d'appareils en temps réel de passer à la couche de serveur depuis la couche d'application traditionnelle dans la « pile technologique ». Cela signifie que toutes les applications au-dessus de la couche du serveur de la pile technologique bénéficient en temps réel de renseignements de classe mondiale sur les appareils, ce qui réduit les coûts d'infrastructure et optimise les charges d'applications.

Pour assurer un fonctionnement du module conformément à sa conception, dotMobi a fait appel au site de la communauté du football en ligne Transfermarkt, qui utilise NGINX depuis longtemps avec des portails Web dans sept pays et des besoins en trafic exigeants à satisfaire. Par exemple, le site www.transfermarkt.de accueille à lui seul 36 millions de visiteurs par mois, ce qui en fait l'un des sites les plus sollicités parmi les 3 000 sites d'Alexa. Le module DeviceAtlas pour NGINX a donné à Transfermarkt la capacité d'identification haute vitesse d'appareils dont la communauté avait besoin pour traiter le trafic mobile et s'adapter rapidement au contenu selon les propriétés de l'appareil demandeur.
