Acer America today announced new commercial desktop PCs designed specifically for businesses, schools and government agencies. Fast processing, a tool-less design and essential security and management tools make the new Veriton Series desktops ideal for powering mainstream productivity applications in professional environments.
The Acer Veriton L4620G is an ultra small form factor (ULSF) desktop with prices starting at $599. This platform is compatible with the Acer ErgoStand that is easy to set up and connect to a range of Acer monitors to create a streamlined all-in-one system. Other new models include the Acer Veriton X4620G, a small form factor (SFF) desktop and the Acer Veriton M4620G, a mini tower, both with prices beginning at $619. All models come with a three-year warranty(1) and support up to a third-generation Intel® Core i7 processor, which provides significant application and graphics performance benefits compared to prior generations.

Efficient Management, Robust Security
Tightly managing and safeguarding data is more critical than ever. TPM 1.2 compliant, the systems conform to corporate-level security requirements and lower total cost of ownership over the product lifecycle. Boasting the Acer Veriton ControlCenter suite of management tools, the models feature:
- Acer eLock Management to deploy software and control users' systems remotely.
- Acer eSettings Management to track and store users' software preferences.
- QuickMigration to quickly update and transfer personal data from one PC to another using a common network cable.
- SmartBoot to automatically load frequently used programs in the system tray at start-up.
In addition, the new commercial desktops are outfitted with Acer Proshield Security, a single-client console application that integrates key security and management features under a unified user interface. It includes an encrypted hidden drive for confidential files, a file shredder to wipe sensitive content from the system, and a BIOS import and export tool that simplifies system management.
Acer's One-Button Recovery (OBR) function makes backing up and/or restoring a PC's data simple. If the PC's operating system files are lost or damaged, the recovery process can restore the Veriton's original factory default settings or to the last system backup.
Excellent Connectivity and Expansion
Enabling employees to multi-task by viewing three projects at once, all three Veriton 4620G Series desktop platforms -- M, X and L models -- provide two DisplayPorts and a DVI port with a VGA converter. Each DisplayPort provides true digital images to the monitor and crystal clear audio via one small cable, which saves space and provides a clean look and feel. They also come with eight USB 2.0 ports and two USB 3.0 ports, while a two-port USB 3.0 module that can be inserted in the upper front media bay for charging smartphones and cameras is optional.
The Acer Veriton L4620G uSFF PC models come with an internal drive bay supporting a half-slim 2.5- to 3.5-inch hard drive and a mini PCI-Express 2.0 slot. The Acer Veriton X4620G SFF offers external 5.25-inch and internal 3.5-inch drive bays, PCI Express 2.0 x16 and PCI Express x1 slots.
The Acer Veriton M4620G mini towers provide two 5.25-inch and six 3.5-inch drive bays (two external, four internal), open PCI Express 2.0 x16, PCI Express 2.0 x1 and PCI v2.3 slots in addition to a PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot wired as x4 connectivity.
