SEATTLE, WA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/27/12 -- tetra4D, the exclusive 3D technology partner for Adobe® Acrobat®, today announced the release of several new 3D PDF Plug-ins for Autodesk® Products including: 3D PDF for AutoCAD®, 3D PDF for Revit®, 3D PDF for Navisworks®, 3D PDF for 3ds Max®, and 3D PDF for Maya®. Running directly inside the CAD application, these new plug-ins enable design creators to directly convert 2D and 3D CAD data to rich, interactive 3D PDFs for easier visualization, collaboration, and shared design reviews, with their extended teams. Autodesk product users can purchase the plug-ins standalone or add Adobe® Acrobat® to turn on additional collaboration and security features in the Free Adobe® Reader®. tetra4D plans to add additional Plug-ins to their growing portfolio of 3D PDF Solutions to help customers leverage the ease of use and ubiquity of the PDF format in their design and collaboration processes.
"The release of our new 3D PDF Plug-ins sets the standard for ease of use and functionality for architects, engineers, and designers enabling users to generate rich 3D PDF documents directly from within their CAD tool for securely sharing design information with anyone," commented tetra4D's Chief Technology Officer, Craig Trudgeon. "The PDF format offers unparalleled flexibility for communication, collaboration, and dependable long term archiving of all design project related data, in the most commonly used format in the world. This in turn empowers companies to optimize a number of critical process workflows with reduced IT overhead."
Now everyone on the extended team can interact with 3D design data without putting source intellectual property files at risk or requiring data recipients to download viewer applications. With up to 97% smaller files than the original 3D model, teams can easily conduct design reviews electronically whether they work within media and entertainment or with architects, designers, sub-contractors, engineers, or visualization specialists.
FREE TRIAL
The new 3D PDF Plug-ins are available now for free trial or purchase in English, French, German, Japanese, and Korean languages through the tetra4D e-store and our global network of authorized resellers. More information is available at www.tetra4d.com/products
