Samsung and its partners have extended the submission deadline of the Solve for Tomorrow contest to November 9, 2012.
Launched in late September, Solve for Tomorrow invites public school teachers and their students across the United States to submit a short application for a chance to participate in this year’s contest. Seventy-five classrooms – 25 from each of the following three categories: rural, suburban and urban** – will be selected as semi-finalists; they will receive a Samsung camcorder and laptop, and Adobe editing software to create videos that answer Samsung’s challenge to show how STEM can help improve the environment in their community.
The program aims to raise enthusiasm for STEM subjects and engage 6th-12th grade classrooms in a real-world issue they feel passionate about. Winning schools will receive products, software, and programming from Samsung Hope for Children, the Adobe Foundation, and DIRECTV - a total retail prize value of more than $1 million*. To learn more about the contest or submit an application, please visit samsung.com/solvefortomorrow.
