Smart PDF Creator enables users to effortlessly create compressed, searchable PDF documents from other formats, including the ability to create PDF with a single click, as well as batch convert multiple documents at the same time. Users can encrypt their documents for improved security, selecting between high and low encryption level. The Professional version of the software allows the conversion of PDF documents into other formats, including Word, HTML, RTF, TXT, JPEG, TIFF, BMP and PNG.
The newly released version of Smart PDF Creator brings a significant improvement by enabling users to perform Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology on PDF documents when converting to the Excel format. The software is enhanced with the same OCR technology that is at the core of SmartSoft’s professional optical character recognition application, Smart OCR. The new enhancement will allow users to convert scanned paper documents into fully editable and searchable Excel files. Until now, OCR was only available for PDF to Word conversions. The release also introduces additional options, such as the ability to convert tables to the same or separate sheets, change column width and insert additional columns, among other enhancements.
