Local Corporation (NASDAQ: LOCM), a leading online local media company, today announced that it has been named a finalist in two product and technology categories for the TechAmerica Orange County High-Tech Innovation Awards.
Now in its 19th year, this premier business event celebrates excellence and achievement in the region’s technology industry and honors local companies, individuals and products that drive innovation in Orange County. This year’s winners will be announced at a dinner on June 14, 2012, at the Hilton in Costa Mesa, Calif.
Local Corporation's Rovion Ad Management Platform was named a finalist for Best Cloud Product and the company's Exact Match local business solution suite was named a finalist in the Best Internet/E-Commerce category.
"This recognition from the TechAmerica organization validates our market leadership in delivering innovative digital media solutions that enable brands, publishers and local merchants to effectively connect with consumers," said Michael Sawtell, Local Corporation president and COO.

The scalable platform is completely customizable and its drag and drop functionality helps companies develop rich media ad units that can be served in multiple formats across multiple channels including online or on mobile devices via HTML5. The company recently released additional functionality within the platform including the ability for users to develop ads that incorporate new video formats and polling features.

Exact Match enables local businesses to boost brand awareness and reach targeted customers when they are searching for products and services online and via mobile devices. The suite includes a geo-targeted website, a mobile-optimized website, social media presence, brand-centric display advertising and more.
“We received nearly 100 nominations including start-up innovators, high-growth companies and established industry players from across Orange County,” said Bob Brunson, director, TechAmerica Orange County. “We congratulate Local Corporation on this honor.
