WAKEFIELD, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 04/18/12 -- On April 23, 2012 at 12:00 p.m., the Digital Analytics Association (DAA), formerly known as the Web Analytics Association (WAA), will host an inaugural symposium, "Data is the New Sexy," in New York, NY. This event gathers thought leaders to share knowledge and best practices related to data analytics. The symposium will help attendees learn the vast benefits of good data and how to implement ideas that will put data to the best use. Since seats are limited, interested parties are encouraged to register online in order to secure their attendance.
The opening keynote, "The View From Silicon Alley: A Venture Capitalist View of the Evolution of Big Data," will feature insightful takeaways from Geoff Judge, Partner, iNovia Capital. Judge is an angel investor in several early stage companies. He works directly with his investments on business strategy and business development. Judge was an investor in IndustryBrains (sold to Marchex), and today works actively with Collective, Media Armor, uKnow, Madison Logic, Precision Health Media, Pex Card, Transactis, Chango and Milewise. He also sits on the board of Global Cash Access. Judge received an M.B.A. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business and a B.A. in Economics from Northwestern University.
"The DAA has hosted successful symposiums all across the country," says Michele Kiss Hinojosa, director of digital analytics for Red Door Interactive. "The symposiums I've attended have connected hundreds of analysts and provided a great environment for learning and networking. The DAA symposiums are something all digital analysts should get involved in."
Additionally, the event will feature 16 educational speakers from renowned companies such as OgilvyOne Worldwide, NBC Universal, ESPN and more. The sessions are customized for analytics pros and will give attendees a first look into the latest ways that NYC is driving analytics growth across all industries.
DAA members can register at a discounted fee of $25 and non-members pay only $75 to attend. To register or learn more, please visit: http://www.digitalanalyticsassociation.org/?page=ny2012_symposium
