Adobe to Open London Data Center for Omniture

It’s supposed to provide faster data processing, improved application usability and performance

Adobe is opening a data center in a colocation facility outside of London that will serve its Omniture Business Unit customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

It's supposed to provide faster data processing, improved application usability and performance and expanded localized data storage capabilities.

It's also supposed to make Omniture compliant with privacy and data collection standards.

It says, "Data collected on behalf of our European customers will be processed in Europe."

The new data center is supposed to house thousands of services and network devices and be available in Q1. Existing customers will begin custom migrations in the second half of 2011.

Adobe's Omniture acquisition provides hosted Internet analytic software and services to corporations for measuring web site traffic, visitor activity, advertising effectiveness, e-commerce transactions and optimization.
