HiveLive®, a leading enterprise social software platform provider, today announced the addition of two big names to its customer roster.
Adobe is using the HiveLive LiveConnect™ community platform as the backbone of Adobe Groups (groups.adobe.com), its worldwide online community forum for designers, developers, and business and creative professionals of all levels. HiveLive powers hundreds of Adobe groups around the world, offering members the opportunity to network and build connections, master new skills and learn from peers. Each group has its own identity, its own members, and its own look and feel — an approach that imparts a strong sense of personality and individual ownership.
“Adobe has a strong network of online communities filled with professionals, students and hobbyists who want to discuss and share innovative ideas with one another,” said Ted Patrick, senior manager of developer communities at Adobe. “With the HiveLive platform, it is very easy for developers and designers worldwide to join and start local user groups, and as a result we’ve seen dramatic growth in both the number of Adobe groups and the level of user involvement.”
There are more than 700 user groups and over 22,000 members in the Adobe User Group system throughout North and South America, Europe, India, Asia, Australia, and Africa. And the numbers just keep growing. The community supports Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Norwegian, Dutch, English, and more languages.
Environmental Data Resources, Inc. (EDR) has also launched a community on the HiveLive platform. Its community (commonground.edrnet.com) provides a social networking setting for thousands of environmental and property due diligence professionals from more than 1,600 companies and organizations worldwide.
“In migrating over to HiveLive, EDR has adopted a highly flexible platform that allows us to respond readily to demand for new features as membership grows,” says Jay Gaines, EDR’s chief marketing officer.
The HiveLive LiveConnect platform is designed to connect users to the information, people, and activities that are relevant to them. It offers the industry's most extensive library of community applications - most of which are offered only by HiveLive. And it is built on the most fine-grained permissions model available, with the most extensive member roles, making it easy to segment members into any number of groups and sub-communities. Members themselves can connect with others by creating personal networks and forming private, semi-private, or public groups.
